Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Winery Production Specialist for an evening shift role, working four days a week.

Upon joining our esteemed team at Nyetimber, you will begin with day shifts for training purposes. After completing the training, which is expected to take approximately three months, you will transition to afternoon shifts to maximize production hours. Eventually, you will assume a permanent evening shift position.

Shift Hours:

  • Temporary Day Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Temporary Afternoon Shift: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM
  • Permanent Evening Shift: 3:30 PM - 1:45 AM

Work Schedule: The day and afternoon shifts will be from Monday to Friday, while the evening shift will be from Monday to Thursday.

Compensation will increase by 10% upon moving to the afternoon shift and by 20% when you transition to the permanent evening shift.

We are expanding our Cellar Team and have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Winery Production Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks related to the production of high-quality sparkling wine and will maintain regular communication with our Winery and Warehouse Production Assistant, Cellar Manager, and Winemakers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute all winery production operations with precision and timeliness, including handling both wine in tank and bottled stock.
  • Serve as a deputy for the Cellar Supervisor, operating the disgorging and bottling lines as needed.
  • Train junior staff and new hires on winemaking tasks to ensure they can work under supervision.
  • Operate the Padovan earth filter and heat exchanger competently.
  • Act as shift supervisor during harvest periods if required by the line manager.
  • Exhibit flexibility in working hours, especially during critical periods such as harvest.
  • Collaborate with all winery team members to ensure smooth operations and foster a positive work environment.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace at all times, serving as a role model for temporary staff.
  • Work at any of the Nyetimber production facilities as necessary.
  • Stay updated with personal training records and changes to winery Standard Operating Protocols and/or Risk Assessments.
  • Complete any required training as prescribed.
  • Represent Nyetimber positively when interacting with external parties.
  • Communicate passionately and knowledgeably about wine production at Nyetimber.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that align with the responsibilities of the role and any reasonable management requests.
