Job Summary

Thales is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Through-Life Support Engine Division, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for our products, equipment, and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address obsolescence, reliability, and supportability issues arising in the product
  • Initiate, approve, and advise on the embodiment of changes to the products to address supportability events and improve the utility of the products
  • Provide technical expertise to manufacturing, test, and repair activities related to the products and effect improvements to the processes and related equipment
  • Organize and lead the execution of tasks that require a team of people, managing the work, using allocated resources, and identifying changes in resource requirements
  • Represent the company in technical interactions with external organizations concerning the products

Requirements

  • Experience as a Product Support Engineer or similar role
  • Electrical engineering experience in a Navy/MOD environment
  • Experience of troubleshooting within a test facility using test rigs
  • Ability to understand key issues and their implications and ask relevant and constructive questions
  • Degree qualifications in an electronics subject (desirable)
  • Ex-Forces background as a technical subject matter expert
