The Local Digital team, a vital part of MHCLG, is dedicated to assisting local councils in England. Our mission is to foster user-focused, efficient public services through collaborative and reusable methodologies.

We are seeking a Project Support and Administration Officer who possesses the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and external entities, including local authorities, to facilitate successful project execution. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing administrative responsibilities and demonstrating initiative to enhance project support, alongside a keen interest in agile and digital practices.

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Support and Administration Officer, your duties will include:

  • Managing relevant Local Digital communication channels, addressing inquiries or directing them to appropriate team members.
  • Overseeing financial procedures related to fund disbursement to councils and managing the program budget.
  • Assisting in project management tasks, including the development of essential materials such as business cases and guidance documentation.
  • Keeping stakeholders informed by contributing to digital content and collaborating with communication teams to ensure cohesive messaging.
  • Monitoring project progress and reporting on impacts and lessons learned.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the team to enhance operational processes.
