VAT Compliance Specialist

The Role:
PIB Group is seeking a skilled VAT Compliance Specialist to join our Finance & Tax team. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic organization dedicated to professional development and a supportive work culture. The VAT Compliance Specialist will be instrumental in ensuring adherence to UK VAT regulations, preparing the UK Quarterly VAT Return for the VAT Group and related business lines.

Key Responsibilities:
Your main duty will involve the preparation of the UK Quarterly VAT Return for the VAT Groups. You will gather data from various IT systems, validate this information, and analyze transactions in accordance with UK VAT legislation. Additionally, you will conduct transactional reviews in line with internal procedures and HMRC VAT compliance guidelines. Your responsibilities will also include supporting the UK Tax team with International VAT compliance preparation and contributing to ongoing process enhancements and system improvements.Experience & Qualifications:
ACA (or equivalent) or CTA (part or fully) qualified tax professional. Qualified to CCAB or ATT. Experience working within a complex International Group with diverse VAT recoverable rates. Proven track record in producing UK and International VAT returns. Strong understanding of current UK and International VAT legislation. Familiarity with VAT-specific software, such as Alpha VAT, is desirable. Excellent communication and influencing skills with stakeholders at all levels. Experience in data manipulation from multiple sources. Advanced Excel skills are a plus but not mandatory. Highly organized with effective time management skills. A proactive 'can-do' attitude with strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks.
