Plant Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Shift Plant Operator at Veolia. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our plant.
Key Responsibilities- Provide shift coverage to ensure continuous ERF operation
- Assist Shift Team Leader in monitoring and operating plant from Central Control Room
- Coordinate control room operations for consistent power production and steam turbine operation
- Take immediate corrective action during emergencies to limit risks
- Monitor and control process parameters, raw materials usage, and environmental emissions
- Safely shut down and restart plant sections according to procedures
- Perform emergency operations during unit trips and abnormal conditions
- Carry out lockout-tagout isolations and understand applied risk hazards
- Ensure compliance with Environmental Permit and report non-compliance
- Conduct routine plant inspections, adjustments, and data collection
- IT Literate
- An understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues would be an advantage
- Interested in mechanical & electrical plant with some experience of plant operations, ideally with experience as an Engineering role Appropriate NVQ for the duties of the post
