Pastoral Care Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pastoral Leader to join our team at Columbus School and College in Chelmsford. As a key member of our pastoral team, you will play a vital role in promoting positive behaviour and high levels of attendance from our students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualised pastoral support to students, addressing their emotional and social needs
- Monitor and track student behaviour and attendance, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective pastoral care plans
- Manage and record data on student behaviour and attendance, using this information to inform future support and interventions
Columbus School and College provides education and care for pupils aged 3-19 with severe and profound learning difficulties, many of whom also have autism. Our two campuses offer a range of facilities and resources, including specialist classrooms and therapy rooms. We pride ourselves on providing a supportive and inclusive environment, where every student can thrive and reach their full potential.
