Luxborough Court School is a pioneering institution dedicated to providing exceptional care and education to children with complex needs. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pastoral Manager to join our team and play a vital role in shaping the lives of our young people.

About the Role

As a Pastoral Manager, you will be responsible for creating a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters the emotional and social development of our students. You will work closely with our clinical teams to develop and implement personalized care plans that address the unique needs of each child.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of pastoral care plans that meet the individual needs of our students
  • Collaborate with our clinical teams to provide high-quality emotional support and therapeutic interventions
  • Supervise and support a team of staff to ensure they have the skills and confidence to provide exceptional care
  • Work closely with families and external agencies to ensure seamless transitions and support
  • Contribute to the development of our school's policies and procedures to ensure they are aligned with best practice

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with children with complex needs, including ASC, ADHD, and SEMH
  • Experience of multi-agency work and understanding of legislation, policies, and guidance around safeguarding and child protection
  • NVQ 3 in Care or Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification
  • Leadership-related qualification and experience of staff appraisal and performance management
  • Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and experience of working with families in challenging circumstances
