Access Talent Group is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our Building Design team in Birmingham.

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented Structural Engineer to collaborate with our architects and engineers to design and develop structural systems for new building projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering and a passion for creating innovative and sustainable building designs.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to design and develop structural systems for new building projects.
  • Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure that designs meet safety and building code requirements.
  • Prepare detailed construction drawings, specifications, and reports for building structures.
  • Review and approve construction plans and provide on-site support during the construction phase.
  • Utilize software and tools to model and simulate structural designs for performance evaluation.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry standards, codes, and regulations related to structural engineering.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Proven experience in structural design and analysis for building projects.
  • Proficiency in structural engineering software such as ETABS, SAP2000, or STAAD.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Passion for sustainability and innovative building design.

What We Offer:

Access Talent Group offers a competitive salary of £30,000 to £34,000 per annum, a permanent contract, and the opportunity to work on exciting building design projects in Birmingham.
