About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our Birmingham Building Structures team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering our ambitious plans to develop and grow the Building Design practice in the midlands and across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop structural solutions for a wide range of building structures using conventional engineering materials (steel, concrete, timber, masonry) to Eurocodes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to develop conceptual solutions to problems through to detailed design.
  • Contribute to the development of project approaches and assist in the execution of projects within defined design and cost parameters.
  • Undertake research, data collection, and presentation of information to support project delivery.
  • Present results to clients under the supervision of an AtkinsRéalis lead designer.

Requirements

  • Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • Graduate Member of relevant body (IStructE or ICE).
  • Working towards or achieved Chartered Membership (IStructE or ICE).
  • Proven experience in the design of structures using conventional engineering materials to Eurocodes.
  • Experience in the use of structural analysis design software (Robot Structural Analysis and Revit experience is desirable but not essential).
  • Willingness and flexibility to learn new software.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills that can support our client relationships.
