This role will work closely with the Shopper Insight Manager, leveraging both desktop research and shopper research programmes to help build action plans that can be executed via Shopper Marketing Leads. The successful candidate will be central to the development of new, differentiated, and innovative shopper and category solutions across both Retail and Hospitality channels.

This role is critical to our planning and execution of category and shopper initiatives, requiring strong links across the Category Strategy, Category Management, Shopper Marketing, Customer Management, Brand Operations, and Marketing teams.

  • Clear accountability for the 6S Path To Purchase framework and associated tools, training, and customer engagement.
  • Partner with the wider Category, Shopper, and Customer Management functions to anticipate evolving needs and provide thought-leadership on key topics.
  • Develop the right tools to upskill the Category, Shopper Marketing, Channel Development, and Customer Management teams.
  • Bring to life the 'so what' from shopper insight through successful embedding into the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement category and shopper strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of category and shopper initiatives.
  • Provide thought-leadership on key topics, including shopper behaviour, category trends, and market insights.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Relevant category management, category development, category strategy, channel development, or other strategic experience, preferably in an FMCG business.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage a wide network of stakeholders.
  • Creative judgement – acquired through previous shopper or consumer marketing involvement.
  • Strong planning, organisation, and time management skills.
