Strategic Application Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Application Manager to join our team at Optoma Europe Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic roadmap for our application portfolio, aligning it with business objectives and technology trends.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire lifecycle of applications, from requirements gathering and design to development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Ensure applications meet quality standards, performance targets, and user expectations.
- Lead a team of developers, testers, and analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
- Collaborate with software vendors and third-party service providers to evaluate, select, and integrate off-the-shelf applications.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of application development projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
- Establish and enforce policies, standards, and best practices for application development, deployment, and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, security standards, and industry frameworks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience of testing software, reviewing code created by other team members, and actively contributing to the continuous improvement ethos within the team.
- Capability to take an active and supportive role in managing and helping colleagues learn new features and techniques.
- High technical understanding of IT systems and interface methods.
- An ability to motivate, collaborate with, and lead others with a successful track record in providing direction and managing performance of staff.
- Strong organisational, project, and time management skills.
- Experience working with Agile development frameworks.
