About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Strategy Analyst to join our team at North West London Integrated Care Board. As a key member of our strategy team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies that improve healthcare outcomes for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and present complex data and modelling to senior stakeholders, including the Executive Director of Strategy and Population Health and the Head of Strategy.
  • Support the development of the ICS strategy, the Joint Forward Plan, and programme plans, ensuring alignment with the ICB's wider Data and Digital strategy.
  • Work closely with the strategy team, programme teams, and other stakeholders to identify and scope strategic analytical tools required to support strategy development.
  • Provide strategic analysis and interpret complex datasets to help the ICB/ICS understand trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver repeatable, user-friendly models in line with industry best practice, including robust error mitigation and quality assurance methods.
  • Collaborate with the BI team to ensure data sets can be processed and loaded for analytical use.
  • Design, develop, deliver, and explain forecast models covering activity, demand, capacity, workforce, finance, and health outcomes.
  • Work corporately to support the organisation's strategy, population health, and BI functions.
Requirements
  • Up-to-date understanding of the NHS, including how it is organised, policy developments, and the wider political and financial environment.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare outcomes, healthcare quality, and healthcare finances.
  • Significant experience working with health economics-related activities, including measuring the impact of proposed initiatives on outcomes, care quality, access, patient experience, and value for money.
  • Strong working knowledge of various healthcare data, including GP Information Systems, acute sector data sets, Patient Level Information Costing, and reference datasets.
  • Expert ability to interrogate highly complex patient activity databases using Access, SQL, and VBA.
  • Strong ability to structure, build, and deliver repeatable user-friendly models in line with industry best practice.
  • Ability to analyse complex datasets and produce strategic analyses, including benchmarks against peers, forecasts, and analyses of historic trends.
  • Strong data visualisation skills, with the ability to visually guide the reader to the crux of the analytical message.
