Position: Business Manager – Transformation Programme

Work Arrangement: 3 days per week in the office

Compensation: circa £60k + bonus + benefits

Are you seeking a dynamic role that offers a diverse range of responsibilities? This pivotal position within the modernisation department is designed for you.

Incorporating aspects of business process oversight, commercial and contract management, stakeholder engagement, vendor relations, and reporting, this role will play a crucial part in supporting the transformation programme and the Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) in liaising with the Group's Board, Executive team, and various functional teams. You will be tasked with gathering, evaluating, and crafting a narrative that encapsulates essential programme information, as well as preparing Board Papers for the Programme.

Your collaboration will extend to department heads, senior managers, project managers, and IT colleagues, providing assistance on specific programme initiatives, including managing procurement activities and maintaining key partner relationships in accordance with vendor management policies for both new and existing vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate key programme data to develop and prepare regular and ad-hoc Board and Executive Committee papers.
  • Facilitate strategic change initiatives through comprehensive reporting and board paper development.
  • Oversee relationships with third-party strategic partners.
  • Ensure the Transformation programme has well-defined and effective plans to support programme delivery and critical decision-making.
  • Assist in managing RFP/RFI processes.
  • Establish and uphold robust governance frameworks.
  • Compile regular reports and presentations for the Group Chief Transformation Officer and other senior leaders in Transformation.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to oversee the invoicing process for key strategic partner relationships.
  • Support the Strategic Performance Manager in developing business cases.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in a similar capacity, with a track record of supporting strategic change initiatives through reporting and board paper preparation.
  • Ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior and C-suite levels.
  • Experience in managing RFI/RFP processes from inception to completion.
  • Familiarity with project/change management lifecycles is essential.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and experience in data-driven decision-making.
  • Professional certification in vendor management, contract management, or project management is advantageous.
  • A degree (or equivalent) in business studies or finance-related qualifications is preferred.

This role necessitates 3 days per week in the office, including travel to meet with consulting partners.
