Job Role: Passive Fire and Fit Out Project Manager

Area: Kent & London

Salary: £50k - £55k

PW Construction Recruitment is seeking an experienced Passive Fire and Fit Out Project Manager for our award-winning main contractor client based in Kent.

They cover commercial projects in Kent & London. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to join a team with development and progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project programmes, including schedules, project milestones, and deadlines.
  • Review and track labour and materials to ensure projects remain within project cost plans.
  • Produce detailed material take-off documentation to issue to buyers for procurement.
  • Review subcontractor quotations, ensuring all subcontractor purchase orders are raised and issued.
  • Ensure all work undertaken meets quality standards and complies with design specifications and project brief.
  • Undertake regular senior management site inspections to monitor progress and quality of workmanship.
  • Produce CPP/health and safety documentation, ensuring review and sign-off prior to commencement of works onsite.
  • Arrange/undertake regular safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Manage Fit Out Managers and Supervisors to ensure client expectations are achieved.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project.
  • Provide regular updates on progress, addressing client concerns or changes in requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, expenditures, and communications.
  • Document any changes or variations to the project scope.
  • Identify potential issues and proactively develop solutions.
  • Manage conflicts and mitigate risks that could impact project timelines or quality.
  • Ensure quick resolution of any on-site problems to maintain project momentum.
  • Promote sustainable practices and materials where possible.
  • Stay updated on working practices, innovations, and trends that could enhance future project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Experience in presenting tenders to clients.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial and education construction sectors.
  • The ability to read tender specifications, drawings, and produce detailed pricing cost plans.
  • Driving licence.
