PW Construction Recruitment is seeking an experienced Passive Fire and Fit Out Project Manager to join our award-winning main contractor client in the commercial and education construction sectors.
This is a great opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion, quality, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project programmes, including schedules, project milestones, and deadlines.
- Review and track labour and material costs to ensure projects remain within budget.
- Produce detailed material take-off documentation for procurement.
- Review subcontractor quotations and ensure timely issuance of purchase orders.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with design specifications and project brief.
- Conduct regular senior management site inspections to monitor progress and quality.
- Produce CPP/health and safety documentation for review and sign-off prior to project commencement.
- Arrange and conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Manage Fit Out Managers and Supervisors to ensure client expectations are met.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, addressing client concerns and changes in requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, expenditures, and communications.
- Document changes or variations to the project scope.
- Identify potential issues and develop proactive solutions.
- Manage conflicts and mitigate risks impacting project timelines or quality.
- Ensure quick resolution of on-site problems to maintain project momentum.
- Promote sustainable practices and materials where possible.
- Stay updated on working practices, innovations, and trends enhancing future project delivery.
Requirements:
- Experience in presenting tenders to clients.
- Strong understanding of the commercial and education construction sectors.
- Ability to read tender specifications, drawings, and produce detailed pricing cost plans.
- Driving license.
