Senior Sports Regulatory Lawyer

About the Role

We are seeking a senior sports regulatory lawyer to join our team in London. As a senior lawyer or partner with a portable client following, you will have gained extensive experience in sports regulatory matters from a highly regarded legal sports practice in London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting regulations regarding membership, play, conduct, and discipline
  • Reviewing and revising existing regulations, including anti-doping and disciplinary regulations
  • Advising governing bodies on proposed sanctions to be brought against individuals
  • Advising sportspersons on non-selection and qualification issues
  • Defending individual sportspersons against disciplinary, doping, and anti-corruption charges
  • Advising brands on the limitations on the activation of sponsorship rights imposed by local and national advertising laws and regulations
  • Mentoring and training more junior members of the team
