Merchandise Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandise Coordinator to join our Travel Merchandising team at WHSmith. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Merchandising Director and Travel merchandising team in the planning and coordination of cross-category merchandising activity and cross-functional activity.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Store Replenishment Review: Take the lead in the daily store replenishment review process, reporting and updating across all categories, including Food.
  • Key Line Allocation: Daily calculation and allocation of Top 100 Key lines.
  • Store Replenishment Tool Maintenance: Maintenance and troubleshooting of the store replenishment tool.
  • Stock Forward Planning: Responsibility to prepare stock forward planning reports for the Airport Consolidation Centres.
  • Logistics Reporting: Generate and be the main point of contact for Weekly Throughput and Logistics Reporting.
  • Retail Delivery Availability: Retail delivery availability reporting on a Weekly and Ad Hoc basis.
  • Retail Delivery Stock Allocation: Creation of Retail Delivery stock allocation reports for the Merchandising teams.
  • Weekly Retail Delivery Meeting: Attendance at Weekly Retail Delivery Meeting - reporting back on progress and key updates to the wider Merch Planning team.
  • Food Merchandising Reporting: Generate daily reporting for the Food Merchandising Team.
  • Food and Fruit Ordering: Calculate and generate Food and Fruit ordering for Warehouse delivery.
  • Monthly Stock Provision: Lead the creation of Monthly stock Provision reporting for all Categories.
  • Stock Budgeting: Support the stock budgeting process by creating the stock budget templates.
  • Ad Hoc Reporting: Ad Hoc creation of centralised Merchandising Reporting.
  • Store/Internal Queries: Be the main point of contact for store/internal queries and assist with resolving these in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Strong Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills, time management, and prioritization.
  • Resilience and Adaptability: Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate Excel Experience: Intermediate Excel experience and degree-educated - desirable.
