About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As an Advanced Physiotherapist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to patients with complex medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist physiotherapy care to patients with complex conditions, including those requiring rehabilitation and assessment.
  • Work autonomously within multidisciplinary teams to assess, manage, and treat patients, with a focus on preventing hospital admissions and facilitating timely discharges.
  • Develop and provide specialist education and training to nursing, medical, and physiotherapy staff to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of discharge planning and proactive care strategies to improve patient safety and independence.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent diploma in Physiotherapy.
  • State Registered with Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and relevant post-graduate courses to MSc level.
  • Full valid UK driving licence.
