Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a distinguished entity, functioning as the primary integrated healthcare provider in the Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon, and Wiltshire region.
The role encompasses various responsibilities including outpatient consultations, endoscopy training, ward responsibilities, and general medical on-call duties.
The selected candidate will benefit from a tailored flexible schedule designed to accommodate their educational requirements while engaging in numerous learning opportunities.
The clinical fellow will collaborate with a team comprising 2 Registrars, 2 Specialty trainees, and 3 Foundation Year doctors, contributing to the Gastroenterology Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in supervised Consultant-led new and follow-up outpatient consultations.
- Participate in the general medicine on-call rota, including out-of-hours duties.
- Contribute to undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuous medical education initiatives.
Service Commitment:
Our ambition is to deliver exceptional service. The role involves contributing to leadership and development under the guidance of the Lead Clinician and Associate Medical Director, aligning with the Trust's strategic objectives.
Work within the Trust's framework for Clinical Governance and Risk, which includes the formulation of clinical policies and adherence to established protocols and financial procedures.
Qualifications:
- Clinical training/experience equivalent to ST trainees.
- Experience in Gastroenterology and General medical conditions.
- Capability to instruct clinical skills to trainees and multidisciplinary teams.
