Role Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Patient Access Officer to join our team at London Bridge Hospital. As a Patient Access Officer, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring a seamless experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a warm and welcoming greeting to patients and visitors, ensuring a positive first impression of our hospital.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on our hospital database, ensuring that patient records are complete and accurate.
  • Pre-register or register patients onto our databases, ensuring that all necessary information is collected and recorded.
  • Ensure that all relevant patient documents are signed and scanned to patient accounts, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies.
  • Respond to telephone, written, and face-to-face queries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage patient waiting areas, ensuring that the Patient Access Service runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Coordinate and facilitate patient bookings, ensuring that appointments are scheduled and managed effectively.
Requirements
  • Previous administrative experience in a client/customer-facing role.
  • Excellent customer care skills, with the ability to provide a high level of service to patients and families.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and databases.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office – Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
