About the Role

Full-Time Higher-Level Teaching Assistant Required

We are seeking a suitably qualified, enthusiastic, and caring education professional to join our team of committed teaching staff at Arnfield Care Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering quality, tailored learning and teaching to vulnerable and often challenging young people, aged 11-17, as part of our Care Group.

The ideal candidate will have experience of engaging reluctant learners and dealing with challenging behavior, as well as a proven ability to build relationships with a variety of colleagues and external parties. They will also be able to use a range of equipment, such as practical science kit and art materials, and be eligible to work in the UK with a full, valid manual driving license.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality, tailored learning and teaching to vulnerable and often challenging young people.
  • Contribute to the personalized nature of the education provision by regularly communicating with other members of the education team and care staff about each pupil's progress and needs.
  • Work across multiple sites and in the local and wider community, when required, as part of the varied education offer at Arnfield Care Ltd.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of our children and young people at all times.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (Level 3 qualification and above).
  • Have a specialism, or demonstrable experience, in supporting the wider KS2 curriculum.
  • Have experience of engaging reluctant learners and dealing with challenging behavior.
  • Have an innate ability to relate to young people.
  • Understand the national curriculum and other relevant learning programmes.
  • Have a proven ability to build relationships with a variety of colleagues and external parties.
  • Be able to use a range of equipment, such as practical science kit and art materials.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK with a full, valid manual driving license.
