Job Summary:

Orion Electrotech is seeking a highly motivated and organized Junior Production Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for providing daily engineering support to our production teams, assisting in continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to improving product quality and process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engineering Support: Provide technical assistance to production teams to ensure smooth operation of manufacturing processes.
  2. Continuous Improvement: Assist in identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to streamline production processes and reduce costs.
  3. New Product Introduction: Support the transition of new products into production, ensuring that all necessary documentation and testing are completed.
  4. Process Optimization: Contribute to improving product quality, process efficiency, and health & safety standards within the production environment.
  5. Documentation: Develop comprehensive build and test instructions for production use.
  6. Time Studies: Participate in time studies and work assessments to help establish standard assembly times.
  7. Tooling and Equipment: Support the design and deployment of new tools, fixtures, and equipment to improve assembly processes.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Degree in an Engineering discipline.
  2. Experience: Some experience in a technical role within a manufacturing environment is desirable, though not essential.
  3. Skills: Familiarity with electro-mechanical systems and an understanding of basic production methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or 5S practices is advantageous.
