Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Room Leader to join our team at Bananamoonfranchise. As a key member of our nursery management team, you will be responsible for leading a team of childcare professionals and ensuring the highest standards of care and education for our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead a team of childcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and education to children.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the nursery.
    • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the team and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Childcare and Education
    • Plan and deliver engaging and stimulating activities for children, aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
    • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children at all times.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with parents and carers to ensure effective communication and partnership working.
  • Operational Management
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery, including staff rotas, budgets, and resources.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of the nursery's quality improvement plan.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure a positive and supportive team environment.
    • Work collaboratively with other members of the nursery team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
    • Participate in staff meetings, training, and development opportunities to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the quality of care and education provided.
    • Contribute to the development of the nursery's policies, procedures, and quality improvement plan.
    • Participate in regular self-assessment and reflection to identify areas for personal and professional development.
    Requirements
    • Level 3 or higher qualification in childcare or a related field.
    • Proven experience of working in a nursery or childcare setting, with a strong track record of leadership and management.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
    • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required.
    • Enhanced DBS check and first aid certification.
