Teaching Assistant Wanted for Primary School in Darwen

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in Darwen. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and education of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of daily lessons
  • Provide support to individual students or small groups to help them understand the material and complete their tasks
  • Work under the guidance of the class teacher to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Help manage classroom resources and setup for activities
  • Supervise students during non-classroom times including lunch and recess as needed
  • Contribute to the monitoring and recording of student progress
Requirements:
  • Must hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Experience in a similar role within a school setting is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with children
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • A commitment to professional growth and development
