About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Finance Business Partner focused on Retail to enhance our Commercial Finance team at Poundland, with flexible hybrid working options.

In this pivotal role, you will serve as a key collaborator with our retail division, delivering financial insights and strategic support to propel our retail operations.

Your Responsibilities
  • Engaging with the retail leadership team to provide financial analysis and insights that drive informed decision-making and enhance business performance.
  • Assisting in the budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes for the retail sector.
  • Evaluating retail KPIs and trends, offering actionable insights to boost profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborating with other finance departments to ensure precise financial reporting and adherence to compliance standards.
  • Leading financial initiatives and projects aimed at improving operational performance within the retail sector.
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to the retail management team, offering guidance on financial issues and business strategies.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Demonstrated experience in a finance business partnering capacity, preferably within a retail context.
  • Qualified accountant, either fully or partially.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the proficiency to interpret complex financial data and deliver clear, actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of robust relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting methodologies.
  • Ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
