Role Summary
An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Quality Assurance Specialist at our manufacturing facility. This site is dedicated to producing high-quality chilled meals and pasta salads, employing a diverse workforce.
Key Responsibilities
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for auditing, monitoring, and enhancing quality systems and procedures. You will provide essential technical support to operational teams while ensuring compliance with quality standards as per business and customer requirements, under the guidance of the QA Supervisor/Manager.
Compliance Duties:
  • Annual validations of Critical Control Points.
  • Allergen management validations.
  • Verification of packaging intake.
  • Conducting internal audits.

Quality Assurance Tasks:
  • Monitoring hygiene and environmental practices, including post-clean line sign-offs and sample collections.
  • Performing quality checks and collecting samples for microbiological and nutritional analysis.
  • Executing various daily audits, ensuring corrective actions are taken in collaboration with management.
  • Leading internal quality assessment panels and addressing issues with senior management.
  • Calibration and verification of equipment.
  • Managing non-conformance reports.
  • Addressing shift-related issues and completing QA reports.
  • Investigating complaints and discrepancies.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess some experience in a similar Technical/QA role within the food industry. However, we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn, making this an excellent entry-level opportunity for those eager to develop in quality assurance.
Understanding food safety protocols and having experience in quality improvement initiatives will be advantageous. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential.
