Role Overview:
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Assurance Technologist to become part of our Technical team at Bakkavor Meals, Boston. Our facility employs over 700 individuals and specializes in producing chilled Italian ready meals and modern deli products for a dedicated clientele.
Responsibilities:
  • Technical Management Support: Assist with the administrative functions of the Technical Department, including QMS, HACCP, legislative specifications, Technical Reports, Contaminants and Non-Conformance logs, complaints, microbiological and nutritional monitoring, and pest control coordination. This includes data entry, trending, information requests, action coordination, change management procedures, and communication with relevant parties.
  • Communication: Ensure effective, professional, and timely communication with customers. Participate in customer audits and visits, leading in areas of expertise. Relay pertinent information into governance forums.
  • Auditing: Conduct audits as part of the internal QMS. Track actions and non-conformances and report to relevant forums. Collaborate with the Technical management team to communicate outstanding areas and additions to standards to ensure compliance with all current relevant standards, COP, and legislation.
  • New Product Development: Collaborate with the team to ensure all changes related to launches, delists, and promotional activities are executed effectively.
  • Team Support: Provide support and deputize for colleagues in the Technical team as required, demonstrating flexibility in covering various tasks and participating in projects.
  • Health & Safety: Maintain a safe working environment and support continuous improvements related to health and safety.

  • Technical experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
