About the Role

The North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Educator to join our team. As a Clinical Educator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring staff have the knowledge and skills to provide excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver clinical education programs to support the acquisition of new skills and knowledge.
  • Promote a culture that encourages learning and sustains personal and professional staff development.
  • Provide governance in relation to mandatory and specialty-specific education and training.
  • Lead on the development, delivery, and evaluation of multi-professional learning programs.
  • Ensure the delivery of local induction for new staff.
  • Provide competency-based clinical skills assessment and feedback.
  • Support career development through the provision of career conversations.
  • Provide coaching/guidance to less experienced staff.
  • Identify potential continued professional development (CPD) opportunities and support individuals and teams to access these.
  • Teach/present to multi-professional groups.
  • Develop and maintain a training database.
  • Produce a range of reports.
  • Promote a positive culture to support psychological safety for all staff and learners.
  • Provide leadership and supervision for less experienced members of the team.
