About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor in Obstetrics & Gynaecology to join our team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the efficient running of services and the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Lead clinical teams and contribute to the development of our services, including the implementation of new policies and procedures.
  • Participate in clinical meetings and postgraduate activities, sharing your expertise and knowledge with colleagues.
  • Provide educational and clinical supervision to junior doctors, supporting their development and career progression.
  • Contribute to the development of business plans and strategies to inform the future direction of our services.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of our clinical governance framework.
Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor in Obstetrics & Gynaecology who possesses the following qualities:

  • MBBS or recognised equivalent qualification.
  • Full GMC/GDC registration.
  • At least four years' full-time postgraduate training in a relevant specialty or equivalent experience and competencies.
  • Experience of leading clinical teams and contributing to the development of services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with colleagues and patients.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to participate in quality improvement initiatives.
