Job Overview

Gleeson Homes, a prominent player in the housing sector, is seeking a Regional Finance Business Partner to collaborate closely with the management team in the Greater Manchester & Merseyside area. This role is integral to our Central Division and will primarily be based in the Regional office, with occasional visits to other offices and the Head office to foster strong relationships with operational teams.

Role Responsibilities

  • Serve as a vital member of the Finance team, working alongside Senior and Regional Finance Business Partners while supporting the Finance Director.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Managing Director to analyze financial and operational KPIs, aiding in informed decision-making and action planning.
  • Provide support and challenge to Regional operational teams in evaluating new site appraisals and monitoring existing site performance.
  • Prepare a detailed monthly Regional reporting package, including financial reports from the Central Finance team, along with commentary on operational and financial performance.
  • Lead the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for the Region, in close cooperation with the Senior Finance Business Partner and Central Finance team.
  • Undertake specific projects and analyses as directed by senior management, including the Divisional Managing Director and CFO.

Candidate Profile

  • A qualified accountant (e.g., ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with 2-3 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Previous experience in a finance role with a focus on commercial or business partnering.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to build strong relationships with key operational stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and documentation.
  • Proficient in IT, capable of managing a high volume of data effectively.
  • An enthusiastic and ambitious team player with a robust work ethic.
