Lead Clinical Psychologist for Older Adults

Position Overview
The Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is looking for a qualified and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Older Adult Clinical Psychology Service. This role is available at band 8a or as a band 7 development position, providing an excellent opportunity for professional growth and mentorship.
Role Highlights
This is a permanent position based in a supportive environment, where the successful candidate will engage with a well-established team dedicated to providing high-quality psychological services. The role involves collaboration with the Memory Assessment Service multidisciplinary team (MDT) and the Older People's Community Mental Health Team (OPMH CMHT).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized psychological assessments and interventions tailored to the needs of older adults.
- Provide both individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring a comprehensive approach to mental health care.
- Conduct neuropsychological evaluations and offer pre- and post-diagnostic support.
- Facilitate training and supervision for team members, enhancing the overall service delivery.
- Participate in clinical MDT meetings and contribute to service-wide discussions.

Qualifications Required
- Honours Degree in Psychology.
- Eligibility for Graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.
- Post-graduate Doctoral qualification in Clinical Psychology, accredited by the British Psychological Society.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
Experience Required
- Demonstrated experience as a qualified clinical psychologist, with significant post-qualification experience in the relevant specialty.
- Evidence of further specialist training and clinical supervision.
