About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing specialist psychiatric assessment, treatment, and management for adults aged 18 and above with serious and enduring mental illness in East Conwy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical input to patients under secondary care CMHT when required by the care coordinator.
  • Offer consultation and supervision for Primary Mental Health Services in their catchment area.
  • Manage patients above 65 until their needs are more appropriately met by the Older Persons Mental Health Services.
  • Collaborate with the Acute Care Services and work with the county manager to ensure clinical leadership of the multi-disciplinary team.
Requirements
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • Included on GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of completing CCT.
  • Approved Clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
