Job Description:
We are seeking a caring and dedicated individual to join our team as a Children's Support Worker at Active Care Group. As a Support Worker, you will be working with a 10-year-old child with complex health needs in their family home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the child with daily living tasks, such as eating, bathing, and personal care
- Assist with administering medication and monitoring the child's health
- Engage in activities that promote the child's physical and emotional well-being, such as reading, singing, and playing
- Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the child and their family
- Work collaboratively with the clinical and business leadership teams to ensure the child's needs are met
Requirements:
- Interest in childcare and working with children with disabilities
- Kind and caring nature, with a good sense of humour
- Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work a variety of shifts
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with the child, their family, and the care team
