**Job Summary**

Spire Healthcare is seeking an experienced Staff Nurse to join their bank team in the Pre-Assessment Department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and effective pre-operative care for patients.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Work autonomously as part of the Pre-operative assessment (POA) service to ensure safe and effective pre-operative care.
  • Report to the POA lead Nurse and work collaboratively with the team to ensure the safe assessment of patients over the telephone.
  • Recognize complex health issues and medications that may lead to complications of surgery and escalate concerns to anaesthetists and surgeons.

**Requirements**

  • Current NMC registration with no restrictions.
  • Experience of working with minimum supervision.
  • Good team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Surgical experience is ideal but not essential.
