Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Security Systems Engineer to join our team at Project Start Recruitment Solutions. The role involves repairing, installing, and maintaining intruder alarms, access control systems, warden call systems, communal aerials, and CCTV equipment, ensuring all work complies with the Health and Safety at Work Act and relevant industry standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Service and install door entry, warden call, automatic door/gate systems, CCTV (including IP/networked), and intruder alarms.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance on the above systems.
  • Ensure all access control and CCTV work, including tests, inspections, and compliance checks, adheres to current British Standards.
  • Provide daily updates to the supervisor/manager on the status of all works and inform them of any time-scale or resource issues in advance.
  • Carry out other duties as reasonably requested.

Requirements:

  • Experience in social housing or local authority maintenance.
  • Hold a valid CSCS card.
  • Preferably have experience with manufacturers such as ISM, GDX, ENTROTEC, SML, PAC, KMS, RECORD, GEZE, GALAXY, and TEXECOM (training will be provided).
  • Possess strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Be self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
