About the Role

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Strategic Housing Service as a Housing Policy Officer. This is a hybrid working role that offers a pleasant working environment and flexible working arrangements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess housing need and demand to develop affordable housing policy
  • Develop innovative mechanisms to deliver homes of the right type, quality, and cost in the right locations
  • Research modern methods of construction, low-cost home ownership, custom and self-build, community-led housing, and urban regeneration
  • Liaise extensively with partners from Housing Associations, developers, Government Departments, estate agents, and households seeking affordable housing
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience of working in the field of housing, planning, or regeneration
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions with autonomy
