About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Insurance Operations Specialist to join our team at Howden. As a key member of our Operating Entity, you will provide critical technical and administrative support to our broking teams within niche Business Units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage documentation with precision and in a timely manner.
- Perform data entry and credit control tasks with accuracy.
- Follow up on subjectivities and ensure compliance with company and group policies.
- Meet agreed performance targets and deadlines.
- Lead assigned projects and supply to other team projects as needed.
- Stay informed of regulatory and legal changes that impact the role.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to urgent issues.
- Interpret and implement instructions and issues in line with company policies and procedures.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with Business Units.
- Handle client renewals and mid-term adjustments.
- Remain up-to-date with industry, legal, and regulatory developments.
Requirements:
- Proficient in IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Capable of undertaking and demonstrating competence in technical training as required by industry regulations.
- Prior experience in insurance or a customer-facing environment is preferred.
- GCSE's (or equivalent) including English and Maths essential.
