Insurance Operations Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior team members to set and prioritize key objectives, ensuring optimal workload management and meeting personal and team goals.
- Consistently meet agreed performance targets and deadlines, providing accurate and timely management information to the Team Leader as needed.
- Lead assigned projects and supply to other team projects as required, ensuring successful completion and maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of detailed client and broking documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Process slips, quotes, indications, and endorsements efficiently, maintaining high standards of accuracy and precision.
- Perform technical duties, including data entry, credit control, and follow-up on subjectivities, with precision and attention to detail.
- Stay informed of regulatory and legal changes that impact the role, ensuring compliance and up-to-date knowledge.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records on the company's systems at all times, ensuring seamless data management.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to urgent issues as they arise, providing effective solutions and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Interpret and implement instructions and issues in line with company policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with Business Units, encouraging teamwork and collaboration.
- Handle incoming enquiries from clients, insurers, and third parties, ensuring a professional and timely response.
- Handle client renewals and mid-term adjustments as required, delivering high-quality service and maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Share valuable information that could benefit the Operating Entity or Group, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Remain up-to-date with industry, legal, and regulatory developments to ensure high standards of practice and output.
Skills & Attributes:
- Proficient in IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Capable of undertaking and demonstrating competence in technical training as required by industry regulations, with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
- Developing technical expertise in allocated business lines, with a focus on growth and expansion.
- Prior experience in insurance or a customer-facing environment is preferred, with a strong emphasis on customer service and relationship-building.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and well-documented work, with a focus on quality and precision.
- Ability to work optimally within a team and provide mentorship to less expert colleagues, with a commitment to collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage with team members and stakeholders, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
Qualifications:
- GCSE's (or equivalent) including English and Maths essential, with a strong focus on academic achievement and a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
- A level Grade A-C (or equivalent), with a strong emphasis on academic excellence and a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
