About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with a range of special educational needs.
  • Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) to ensure students receive tailored support.
  • Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and SEN coordinators to create a supportive and nurturing classroom atmosphere.
  • Encourage positive behavior and foster a culture of respect and empathy among students.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs are essential qualities for this role.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, SEN training) are advantageous.
  • Flexibility and adaptability are key, as you will need to respond to the changing needs of individual students and the demands of the school day.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents are essential.
