About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving world-class manufacturing and plant maintenance across our site in Great Yarmouth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily operations of a dynamic manufacturing site, ensuring seamless production and minimizing downtime.
  • Respond to maintenance and breakdowns, utilizing your technical expertise to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Develop and implement asset care plans and TPM schedules, aligning with equipment and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Maintenance Manager, Production Manager, Quality Manager, Process Engineers, and Production Ops to drive continuous improvement.
  • Present technical information to various stakeholders, both verbally and electronically.
  • Effectively identify and troubleshoot critical production equipment issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Plan and execute repair, improvement, and preventative maintenance work on all production equipment.
  • Supervise subcontractor activities as needed, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of plant, equipment, and systems, driving efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental Policy requirements within your area of responsibility.
  • Log and document reactive and planned maintenance tasks accurately.
  • Support Planned Maintenance activities during production shutdown periods.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance and equipment procedures, ensuring up-to-date documentation.
  • Maintain and coordinate all asset documentation, ensuring easy access and reference.

Requirements

  • Qualification in Electrical Engineering with mechanical and/or process engineering knowledge is essential.
  • Proven experience in maintenance, breakdowns, repairs, and mechanical engineering is required.
  • Driven, confident, and possessing a CAN DO attitude is essential for success in this role.
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is highly desirable.
  • Fault-finding skills are critical in this position.
  • AutoCAD knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Minimum ONC or fully apprenticeship-trained with sufficient on-site experience is required.
