Urology Nurse Specialist

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Urology Nurse Specialist to join our empowered and skilled urological nursing team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide a holistic specialist nursing service for both benign and cancer patients.
The successful candidate will work within urology nurse-led specialist teams, both hospital sites, in and out of hours within the acute hospital settings. They will run protocol-driven urology nurse-led services, work alongside the on-call urology multidisciplinary team when required, and administer intravesical treatments (benign & cancer).
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in urology nursing, with a minimum of 2 years post-registration experience. They will have knowledge of cancer pathways, trust IT skills, and a willingness to look at further education. The successful candidate will be a team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires the ability to work unsupervised but managed. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and updating patient information, remaining responsible for holistic needs assessment, and responding to departmental on-going developments.
