Urology Specialist Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist Health Nurse to join our Urology team at North Tees and Hartlepool Trust. As a Specialist Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to patients with urological conditions, both benign and malignant.
Main Responsibilities:- Contribute to the provision of a high-quality Urology Service in collaboration with Clinical Nurse Specialists and the multi-disciplinary team.
- Act as a resource to facilitate and coordinate the holistic care and treatment of patients referred to the urology service.
- Support, inform, advise, and act as a patient advocate for individuals diagnosed with urological disease and their families under the supervision of the Clinical Nursing and Medical team.
- Undertake further qualifications and training to achieve the competencies required of a specialist urology nurse with potential progression to band 7.

Requirements:- NMC registration
- Post-registration experience in surgical/urology acute or non-acute setting
- Physical assessment skills
- Non-medical prescribing
- Knowledge of cancer pathways and the Two Week rule referral process
