As a Senior Audit and Accounts Specialist, you will oversee statutory audit assignments for a diverse range of limited companies, guaranteeing meticulous preparation and review of financial statements. You will be instrumental in the audit process, taking charge of audit files and offering technical assistance to both clients and junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare statutory financial statements for limited companies in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Conduct audits of financial statements adhering to International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
  • Work closely with clients to ensure adherence to accounting and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare corporation tax computations, including thorough analysis of tax-related items.
  • Mentor and support trainees, promoting their professional growth and addressing knowledge gaps.
  • Provide direct assistance to Client Managers and Directors by delivering technical expertise and insights.
  • Stay informed about legislative changes and updates in accounting and auditing standards.


Qualifications
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with substantial audit and accounts experience.
  • Prior experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Experience in conducting audits for UK companies.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as SAGE, Xero, QuickBooks, and Kashflow.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confidence in establishing and managing professional client relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to build effective working relationships.
