We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Laboratory Team Leader to oversee our Microbiological Food Testing at our UKAS approved site in Carlisle. The successful candidate will lead a team of laboratory professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a focus on ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in food products.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate a team of laboratory technicians to conduct accurate and timely microbiological testing on food products.
- Ensure adherence to UKAS standards, laboratory protocols, and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement efficient shift patterns to maximise productivity and maintain high-quality results.
- Manage resources effectively, including the scheduling of personnel and the procurement of laboratory supplies.
- Monitor testing processes and results, taking corrective actions when necessary to maintain the integrity of the data.
- Keep up with advancements in microbiological testing and food safety standards to maintain a state-of-the-art laboratory environment.
- Proven experience as a team leader or supervisor in a laboratory setting, with a preference for those with experience in microbiological testing.
