Technical Services Manager

Key Responsibilities- Under the direction of the Head of Production, take responsibility for all technical areas within the Laban Theatre and other Trinity Laban performance and events spaces.
- Work closely with the Head of Production in the provision of technical resources across our performance venues, providing appropriate proactive and creative support for Trinity Laban's performances and production processes.
- Lead the technical team in the practical operation of the theatre spaces, ensuring the highest quality in the presentation of performance work.
- Collaborate with multiple staff teams to support the delivery of artistic, academic, and venue hire activities.
- Liaise with students and teaching staff on undergraduate and postgraduate projects and performances.
- Manage staff and financial resources, scheduling, tutorials with students providing technical advice and support, and technical theatre responsibilities such as maintenance, lighting, sound, and stage management.
- Schedule production processes for in-house rehearsals, workshops, and performances.
- Provide technical support to a variety of incoming work, including commercial hires and touring/partnership companies.
- Implement Health and Safety policies and ensure the safety of all users of performance spaces.
- Perform routine maintenance and record keeping of technical equipment and theatre installations, including scheduling external inspections.
- 1 year of management experience (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
