We are seeking an experienced IT Site Services Manager to lead our IT site services function for Horsham & Crawley (UK). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering business infrastructure/network and IIOT support, business colleague support (desktop, access & administration), Quality, GxP regulatory support and customer-specific data delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide direct technical support to site colleagues, addressing hardware, software, and networking issues in a timely manner.
  2. Participate in the planning and execution of IT projects related to system upgrades, network improvements, and software implementations within the environment.
  3. Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including computers, servers, and production instruments, while ensuring they meet compliance standards.
  4. Resolve technical issues related to software applications, operating systems, and network connectivity to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  5. Embody the concept of Technology, Security and Quality.
  6. Point of contact for local IT service incidents /requests and mentor site IT teams to maintain and improve IT services.
  7. Develop strong partnerships with IT Shared Services teams and other PSG IT colleagues to deliver service excellence for the local site.
  8. Collaborate with business colleagues to understand support needs and develop effective partnerships in a sophisticated, matrixed environment that delivers IT service excellence to business colleagues.
  9. Collaborate as a member of the PSG IT Ops & Services team to develop and align IT support processes globally to meet business and quality needs including support of regulatory audits, investigations, and CAPA.
  10. Use ITIL and process improvement methodologies (such as Six Sigma, Lean, PPI etc) to drive improvements in IT processes and IT support services. Track metrics against SLA to ensure colleague satisfaction.
  11. Champion innovation by demonstrating technologies used at other Pharma Services / Thermofisher sites.
  12. Main contact to support site capital projects and act as IT Domain Authority for new or existing IT systems and production equipment to ensure it is installed according to global security and data integrity (DI) requirements.
  13. Collaborate with Global Infrastructure Services and Applications to use Corporate shared services, and to implement company standards.
  14. Understand and implement the company's system architecture standards and policies to enhance efficiency and support business colleagues.
  15. Ensure an appropriate mix of internal and external user support resources to enable a flexible cost structure for Pharma Services
  16. Work with site to develop local technology strategy, enforce objectives, budgets, schedules, and work plans as required by the business units.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate ability working with a team of IT professionals in a very fast-paced, large company environment.
  • Experience in leading a multi-lingual and multi-cultural end user support function with a track record of achieving year over year efficiency gains.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment. Solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Computers Systems Validation (CSV) is required.
  • Prior experience with GMP and CSV, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
