About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Strategic Supply Chain Director to join our team at MacTaggart Scott. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and management of our Supply Chain function, ensuring optimal supplier performance and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Supply Chain Strategy: Create a comprehensive supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives, ensuring optimal supplier performance and cost savings.
  • Manage Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring that suppliers meet our quality, delivery, and price targets.
  • Lead the Supply Chain Team: Provide coaching, guidance, and development opportunities to the supply chain team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to achieve business objectives.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to processes and procedures, ensuring that the supply chain function is operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage Budget and Resources: Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other departments, such as commercial and operations, to ensure that supply chain activities are aligned with business objectives.
Requirements
  • Relevant Qualifications: A degree in a business-related field, such as procurement, logistics, or supply chain management, and a professional certification in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior supply chain role, with a proven track record of delivering business growth and improving supply chain efficiency.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to coach and develop team members. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles, practices, and technologies, including ERP systems and data analysis.
