Job Description

Overview:

MacTaggart Scott is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Strategic Supply Chain Manager to lead the company's procurement and supply chain function. The successful candidate will report directly to the Commercial Director and be responsible for providing strategic leadership and management of the supply chain function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives and ensures optimal supplier performance.
  • Manage the procurement process to ensure that goods and services are sourced in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to negotiate and secure the best possible terms and conditions.
  • Lead and manage a team of procurement and supply chain professionals to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators to ensure that the supply chain function is operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the supply chain function is aligned with the company's overall business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or master's degree in a business, procurement, or related field.
  • CIPS qualified minimum level 4 and full existing membership of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
  • Senior management experience with at least 3 years of procurement and supply chain management experience.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to coach and develop staff members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
