Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Production Engineer to join our team at Tech Connect Group. This role is pivotal in enhancing production workflows and integrating innovative technologies to elevate operational efficiency.

This is a full-time, permanent position based onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and eliminate production inefficiencies.
  • Implement new methodologies and product lines.
  • Integrate advanced technologies to boost productivity and quality standards.
  • Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives related to materials and labor.
  • Assist in prototype development and initial production runs.
  • Develop and update assembly instructions, process documentation, and databases.
  • Collaborate with various departments to resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Engage in specific projects as directed by the Production Engineering Manager.
  • Participate effectively in project teams and represent engineering interests.
  • Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
  • Provide support to other company locations as required.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and value analysis/value engineering (VAVE).
  • Experience with streamlined manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with steel fabrication, chassis production, and electrical/hydraulic systems.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and SharePoint.
  • Experience in project management for new product and process launches.
  • Ability to create detailed assembly instructions.
  • Proven track record in enhancing manufacturing operations.
  • Experience in digitizing manufacturing processes.
  • Background in mechanical design.
  • Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical).
  • Exceptional report writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to manage personal workload and meet project deadlines.
  • Experience in managing both internal and external suppliers.
  • Capability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
