Overview of the Role:

As a key member of the Structural Engineering Alliance Group, we are seeking a skilled Lead Civil Engineering Specialist to enhance our dynamic civil engineering team. With over 25 years of experience in delivering innovative engineering solutions, our firm is committed to excellence in the construction sector.

The successful candidate will engage in a variety of infrastructure initiatives, collaborating with colleagues across various offices to deliver exceptional projects for a diverse clientele. This role encompasses the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept development to detailed design and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize advanced design software to create and manage engineering designs.
  • Engage with clients to discuss design and technical solutions, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Oversee project resources, delegating tasks effectively while monitoring progress and deliverables.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standards across all team activities.
  • Manage project budgets and resource allocation efficiently.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while promoting our engineering services.
  • Contribute to achieving revenue targets through strategic client engagement.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in civil engineering.
  • A proven track record in the design of highways and infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in cost estimation and project management.
  • Familiarity with design tools in a BIM environment.
  • Knowledge of industry design standards such as DMRB, Manual for Streets, and NJUG SSG.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide effective solutions.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
